SILVIO LEVAGGI

I trained at the Cremona International Violin Making School under the tuition of masters V. Bissolotti and W. Zambelli, obtaining my diploma in 1984.
 
In 1994 I began working with master violin makers Carlson, Cacciatori and Neumann in their workshop, a collaboration that lasted for six years. It was there that I acquired a deeper knowledge of stringed instrument restoration and conservation techniques.

In my workshop in Cremona I make violins, violas and cellos of the finest quality, inspired by classic Cremonese and Italian school of violin making.

2010: Silver Medal for a violin and certificate of merit for a quartet at the 19th International Violinmaking Competition of the Violin Society of America in Cleveland - OHIO (U.S.A.)
2009: Gold Medal for a cello at the XII° International Violinmaking Competition in Cremona - ITALY
2006: Four Certificates of Merit for cello, viola and quartet (2) at the 17th International Violinmaking Competition of the Violin Society of America in Baltimore ? MARYLAND (U.S.A.)
