Hedeaki Kotera, 히데아키 코테라 Cremona

Born in Kyoto in 1992. He studied the violin making under the guidance of Vanna Zambelli and Massimo Negroni, Dario Occhipinti, Alessandro Voltini, and Alessandro Menta in Cremona. In 2019 he graduated from the "Antonio Stradivari" violin

making school and he started playing the violin in the orchestra in Conservatory in Parma. At same

time he continued to make violin, viola and cello. In 2022 he open his workshop in laboratory of Alessandro Menta and he became professional member of A.L.I. Awards. Gold medal for cello at the 12th International ANLAI violin making competition in Pisogne, Italy in 2021 Bronze medal for viola at the 13th International ANLAI violin making competition in Pisogne, Italy in 2022

 

Ragazzi Fabrizio 파브리지오 라가찌 Sanremo

He started his career as a violinmaker in 1999. He draws inspiration from four famous violinmakers from Ferrara: Ettore Soffritti, Anselmo Gotti, Gaetano Pareschi and Ernesto Pevere and faithfully follows the “Ferrarese” way of violinmaking. Since 2008, he is a member of A.L.I. , The Italian Assiciation of Violinmakers In 2018, at the 9th ANLAI competition of violin making in Bulgaria, he received the "ANLAI Award" for personality and loyalty to the Ferrarese tradition of violin making. He builds violins, violas, and violoncellos. His instruments are particularly appreciated for their warm and equilibrated sound that merges seamlessly with the clean precision typical of the classic Italian traditions.

 

Falaschi Federico 페데리코 파라스키 Pistrino (PG)

Federico Falaschi specializes in bow instruments making collaborating with Master Paolo Vettori from Florence and attending several master classes directed by renowned violin makers such as  Guy Rabut and Hans Nebel. In 2004 he moves to Modena under the guidance of Master 

Lorenzo Frignani. In 2009 he begins his own professional career. His violin are inspired by the classical tradition and an important reference for him is also the Italian Lutherie dating back to the early 900. In his violins  he looks for balance and intensity of the sound, color and warmth of harmonics, without neglecting a soft and elegant aesthetics.

 

Alessandro Menta 알레산드로 멘타 Cremona

He qualifies in Cremona under the teaching of M° Negroni and Zambelli . He started workshop of Maestro Nicola Lazzari in Casalbuttano. After having become Maestro Lazzari’s pupil, under his guidance. He had workshop of Maestro GioBatta Morassi. He is a member of ALI   (Italian Violinmaker Association) and of professional Violinmaker  and Bowmakers grog, in the Cultural  District  of violinmaker in Cremona  and in VSA violin Society of America. 2006 he is a finalist with one of his violin at (Violino Arvenzis) first international competition of violinmaker of Donly Kubin in Slovacchia. 2008 open Your Workshop in the center of Cremona  via Volturno 1/b. 2020 prize Winner ALI, Italian violin making Association, international violin making  competition In Malta .

 

Marco Brunelli 마르코 브루네리 Pavia

Born in the USA in 1972, after his graduation he approached the art of violin making by attending the workshops of master violin makers from Cremona. There he improved the stylistics of his instruments as well as the making and the acoustic aspects. He makes violins, violas and cellos according to the classical cremonese technique by using the inner mould and the highest quality materials. In 2010 he starts to attend the master violin maker Simeone Morassi following his tips, suggestions and advices in order to improve the quality of the workmanship. He lives and work in Pavia where he has his own workshop. He is a member of the board of the Associazione Liutaria Italiana (ALI).

 

Fabrizio Portanti 파브리지오 뽀르딴띠 Cremona

I was born in Cremona on 29 August 1963. I graduated from the International School of Violin-making in Cremona in 1981 under the guidance of Master Wanna Zambelli. After graduation, for 5 years, I attended the laboratory of Gio Batta Morassi perfecting my style and honing my skills. Now in my workshop in Via Aselli 37 in Cremona I make violins violas and cellos on personal models inspired by 

classical Cremonese violin making. I have taken part in several international competitions winning: -ilver medal for a violin at the 6th International Triennal in Cremona in 1991 -old medal for the first place in the Tchaikowky International Competition in Moscow for best violin in 1994. 

 

Matteo Giovanetti 마테오 지오바네띠 Cremona

My purpose is to achieve a level of violinmaking which, although modern, follows and continues the classical Italian tradition. My work revolves around an ideal of classical violinmaking not focused on the mere crafting of the instrument but on the search for an ideal of elegance and harmony true to my style and career as a violinmaker. I combine my taste and sensitivity with an organological study and research that encourage me to characterize my instruments. I was born in Parma and I grew up in Casalmaggiore. I graduated at the International School of Violinmaking in Cremona. In addition to working, I am obtaining a master degree in Conservation and Restoration of Historical Musical Instruments at the University of Pavia, branch of Cremona.

 

Dario Segala 다리오 세갈라 Verbania

Dario Segala was born on February 14th, 1960 in Sermide (MN). After completing high school in 1980 he attended the course for violin makers at the Civica Scuola di Liuteria in Milan under the guidance of M° Renato Scrollavezza. In 1987 during the 1st National Competition held at Baveno he won the Foschi Prize for the youngest finalist. In 1996 he won third place with a viola at the National Bagnacavallo Competition. In 1997 he won third place with a violin at the National Competition in Baveno. In 1999 he won first prize with a cello at the National Competition in Baveno.

 

Igino Cislaghi 이지노 치슬라기 Cremona

Igino cislaghi was born in Milan in 1989. Family influences brought him to love music and wood working. In 2008 he left his family to study violin making in Cremona. He studied with master E.Vaia, M.Negroni, C.Amighetti and started to make instrument; one of Them placed fifth in 

pisogne ANLAI contest. During school he won every year Stauffer scholarship and the “Ferraroni” and “Flavio Smerieri” prizes. In final exam he Made a reconstruction of the ancient greek instrument “kithara” with a result of 97/100. After school he collaborated with several professional violin makers in Cremona with good feedback. He made about thirty instrument including four Violas, three cellos and a 3/4 violin. He tried different wood like willow and pearwood and also different school models like the Antonio Mantegazza Viola. In 2020 he opened his workshop in Cremona

 

Milena Noventa 밀레나 노벤타 Parma

Born in Brescia, Italy, in 1982. I studed in the International violin making school of Parma. Under the guidance of master Renato Scrollavezza. In 2011, I started an apprenticeship in the Elisa Scrollavezza and Andrea Zanrè workshop and dedicated myself to construction guided by the passion of Elisa and Andrea. I refined my skills by attending master classes by Hans Nebel, Filippo Fasser and Lorenzo Frignani and I approached the restoration with courses held by Sharon Que. In 2023 I became member of A.L.I and The String Circle project. 2014 First and second prize in the international violin-making competition ‘Violin: Soul and Shape’ in Moscow in the category ‘Imitation of Old Instruments’

 

Fabio Dalla Costa 파비오 달라 코스타 Breganze

Fabio Dalla Costa graduated at the International Violinmaking School of Cremona in 1984. A pupil of G.B. Morassi until 1988 at CEE workshop. In 2009 he was invited by the International Institute of Research of Milano to hold a conference on the theme "The interpretation of wood".  In 2010, he was invited by the S. Paolo Intesa Bank to hold a conference in Milano on the theme "Simple Future" with the presence of President Corrado Passera. In 2011, he was invited to the University of Luiss in Rome to hold a conference on the theme "The Craftsman".

 

Massimiliano Dalla Costa 마시밀리아노 달라 코스타 Breganze

Born on 1998. I have been making instruments in my father Fabio Dalla Costa's laboratory since the age of 13, and completed my 

first instrument at the age of 15. In 2020 I took part in a first prize winning documentary film called “con le mie mani” as a luthier. In October 2021 and march 2022 two cds was released with a solo viola of mine. My work is characterized by a choice of top quality materials with a natural aging of 30 years, combined with attention to detail in all parts of the instrument, and I am inspired by the classical Cremonese school, following these original models.

 

Simeone Morassi 시메오네 모라시 Cremona

He has participated in several international competitions, obtaining the 1st absolute prize and gold medal at the international competitions of: Mittenwald, Poznan, Esztergom, Nachod, as well as various special prizes for the best paint, workmanship and sound. He has been invited as a juror in many national and international violin making competitions including those in Beijing, Paris, Helsinki, Dolny Kubin, Queretaro, Sofia, Malta ect. He has participated in various shows and exhibitions in Tokyo, Seoul, Taipei, Paris, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Sidney etc. with his own instruments and has held lessons and insights on various issues relating to the construction of the violin.

 

Alessandro Fendillo 알레산드로 펜딜로 Cremona

Born in Cremona in 1989. In 2003 he attended a ViolinMaking International School in Cremona. He started off with M° Giorgio Cè , then with M° Luca Bellini, whereas the fourth year he attended the restoration course in order to learn even the basics of the restoration and the routine mainte-nance of Important musical ancient Instrument under the guidance of M° Alessandro Voltini. He made on classical model from Cremona of the late '600 and the first years of the' 700 such as Amati, Stradivari and Guarneri and with particular attention to the classical Italian of the first years of the XX° century, such as Ornati and Garimberti. In 2012 he joined the A.L.I. He also participated at XIV “Triennale” in Cremona, Pechino and Arvenzis Competition. In 2021 he starts teaching at the International Violinmakeing  school in Cremona.

Lorenzo Frignani 로렌조 프리냐니 Modena

He was member of several national and international luthery competition juries and received himself numerous prizes and acknowledgements. He works together with national and international museums and institutions. He was President of the A.L.I. professional (ITALY) for 6 years until 2014 and was member of the A.L.A.D.F.I. (FRANCE) for 10 years. He regularly taught violin making for about 10 years at the courses for the Artistic Handicraft School of Centopievese and collaborated with the Municipality of Pieve di Cento (Bologna) as an artistic consultant for musical and violin making activities. He has professionally trained several apprentices over the years, from Italy and abroad. He was responsible for exibitions hold in Italy and abroad.

 

Lee Seung Jin 이승진 Cremona

Lee Seung Jin is a professional violin maker from Cremona who became a master violin maker after graduating at Antonio Stradivari Violin Making School in Cremona, Italy. After graduation, he worked for 6 years at the laboratory of maestro Gio Batta Morassi and Simeone Morassi refining his technical and design skills as well as learning the secrets of excellent varnishing using exclusively natural components. Lee Seung Jin confirmed himself as an extraordinary Violin maker at many International and National Violin making competitions and also he is member of Association Italian Violin maker (Associazione Liutaria Italiana) since 2011.Today he works and lives in Cremona, Italy where the city of Violin.

Giovanni Battista Morassi 지오바니 바티스타 모라시 Cremona

Giovanni Battista Morassi was born in Udine in 1969. He worked with his uncle, Gio Batta Morassi, in his workshop, an authentic meeting place for musicians, violinmakers and collectors; here he was able to study many instruments, and it proved to be an invaluable experience and source of inspiration. He makes violins, violas and cellos following classical Cremonese models (Amati, Guarneri and Stradivari) using well-chosen old wood. His varnish is a mellow red-brown color with golden reflections underneath. He was taken part in several competitions including the Baveno competition in 1991, where he won a prize for the best violin scroll. In the Poznan competition in 1996 he won third prize and in 1997 he won a prize for the best violin scroll at Nachod (Czech Republic). In 1997 he won a silver medal for viola at the Mittenwald competition.

 

Bruno Fulcini 브루노 풀치니 Piacenza

Born in Piacenza in 1980, he attended the A. Stradivari School of Cremona, graduating with 94/100. After the school he works in the workshops of Massimo Negroni, who judges "excellent" the level of expertise acquired. From 2006 he began a valuable collaboration with 

the laboratory of the masters Giobatta and Simeone Morassi. Since 2014, he has the opportunity to take advantage of the precious instructions of the master Nicola Lazzari at his laboratory in Casalbuttano. He classified third a violin in the "Violino Arvenzis" competition, and in 2016 obtain a mention of honor at the Malta international competition with a violin. Finalist at the Violono Arvenzis in 2018. Today he works in his laboratory in Piacenza and continues to refine his technique with his masters of reference.

 

Paolo Virgoletti 빠올로 비골레띠 Reggio Emilia

In 2002 he moved to Cremona to continue his studies with master Elio Severgnini from Castelleone. From 2008 to 2010, in Madrid, he entered as an assistant in the studio of master Josè Maria Lozano.During the learning period he acquires the basics in the construction of classical string instruments, in functional and conservative restoration, in acoustic development and on thestudy of classical varnish. In the construction of the new instrument he is inspired by the models Antonio Stradivari, Giuseppe Guarneri Del Gesù and a personal model. He participates in several international competitions.He currently works in San Polo d'Enza.

 

Emanuele Francioli 임마누엘레 프란치올리 Novara

Emanuele Francioli was born in Novra in 1981 and learned violin making at the "Civica Scuola di Liuteria" in Milan with Maestro Luca Primon. 

He graduated in 2007 and opened his own workshop under the guidance of Maestro Dario Segala. In 2014 he is given the Italian "Piemonte Eccellenza Artigiana" recognition mark. In 2018 he scored 12th with a cello and one of the six finalists with a viola at the XV "Triennale" competition in Cremona, receiving an Honourable Mention and the "A.L.I. Award," which is granted to an Italian maker "for an instrument with a peculiar personality within the Italian tradition and culture."

 

Pio Montanari 피오 몬타나리 Genova

Pio Montanari was born in Genoa in 1956. He interest in the making of string instruments started in 1978 in Romeo Ballando's workshop. he obtained a diploma from the Scuola di liuteria A. Stradivari in Cremona and later specialized with Pierangelo Balzarini. His instruments have been selected in all the A. Stradivari International competitions since 1988. Since 1995 he has been part of the team in charge of the 

maintenance of "Il Cannone", the famous G.B Guarneri, property of the Municipality of Genoa. Since the mid 80's he has been a member of the Catgut Acoustical Society, and actively involved in their research work. He is also a member of the Violin Society of America and of the New Violin Family Association.

 

Giordano Alberto 알베르토 지오르다노 Genova

Graduated at the International violinmaking school of Cremona, Alberto Giordano opened his own workshop in Genova in 1987. A curator of the Guarneri “del Gesù” violin “il Cannone” owned by Niccolò Paganini, he has scored a number of articles, essays, books; he’s a contributor for “The Strad" magazine. In 2018 he was appointed as a juror at the XV Triennale international violinmaking competition. Alberto Giordano’s 

primary source of inspiration comes from the “Cannone” violin and from the style of the Genoese luthiers of the Nineteenth century such as Enrico Rocca.

 

Ni Anqi 니 안치 Cremona

Anqi Ni, born in Shandong, China. In 2019 she established her workshop “Laboratorio Violintecture” at the historical center of Cremona. She graduated from Academia Cremonensis and was invited back in 2021 to join the faculty as a teacher for artistic and experimental workshops. Before graduation, she began further studies with Maestro Gregg Alf, after which she became a collaborative luthier in Alf Studios in Venice 

during the years of 2019 -2022. Since 2024 she became member of ALI, VSA and an active attendee of Oberlin Acoustics First Friday Series. She believes that in the art of violin making, as in Architecture, the ultimate goal is to seek harmony among one’s sense of the world and existence – where Truth and Beauty stand.

한국 마에스트로 바이올린 제작가협회(Maestro Violinmakers Association of Korea - MVAK)는 유럽과 미국의 현악기 제작학교 졸업자 중 국내에서 활동하는 협회의 기준에 따른 회원간 검증 절차를 통해서 선별 된 전문 현악기 제작자와 수리 복원 전문가로 구성되어 있습니다.  본 협회는 한국의 현악기 제작 및 수리 문화를 이끌어 갈 전문가 단체로서 기술과 정보의 교환, 전시회, 연구 및 워크샵 등의 다양한 협회활동을 통해 회원들의 발전과 교류를 추구하고 있습니다.  제 4회 현악기 작품 전시회 MVAK는 지난 2017년 제 3회 현악기 작품 전시회(통영국제 음악당) 이후, 펜데믹으로 인한 전시행사 보류가 있었고, 오랜 기다림 끝에 2023년 5월 15일부터 21일까지 일주일 동안 예술의 전당 건너편에 위치한 \"갤러리 반포대로5\" 에서 \'제4회 현악기 작품 전시회\'를 개최합니다.
